Sounding Seed - Concept and drawing workshop
Design and conception workshop for the Seed Sound Studio. The Mediateca team’s next endeavour is to build a multifunctional sound studio. This new space should serve as a community radio station, a sound studio for recording music, producing podcasts, post-producing sound (film, publishing and broadcasting), recording storytelling, audiobooks and oral knowledge, as well as storing the historical sound archive and continuing the sound library project that Guinean filmmakers started in the mid-70s. The Geba Films Cooperative has just received support from FFAI (Foundation for Art Initiatives, New York) for the construction of the building and is seeking support for technological equipment and training. The Geba Films Cooperative invited HfG Karlsruhe to be a partner in this project, in order to create an exchange programme between students from the Malafo community and HfG students to collectively contribute to the conceptualisation and creative materialisation of this exciting process.
