Geba films receives the “Support to the Development of 4 Poles of contemporary artistic creation in the areas of Performing Arts and/or Music in the PALOP and Timor-Leste”, under the PROCULTURA Program integrated in the PROCULTURA Action – Promotion of employment in income generating activities in the cultural sector in the PALOP and Timor-Leste (MTR/FED/038-666) financed by the European Union and co-financed by Camões, I.P. and Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. The ABOTCHA programme of activities aims to dynamise the cultural space – Onshore Mediatheque – in Malafo through around 30 intensive workshops with a variable duration from 2 to 5 days which propose to promote the performing arts as a means of reflection on the local conditions. The ABOTCHA programme will produce a series of workshops, creative activities laboratory, residencies and seminars in the field of performing arts, theatre, music, agroecology, archive practices, visual arts and cinema, inviting local and foreign artists, agronomists and theoreticians for this purpose.
